instead of my chores...

the hurricane had picked out "tangled" fabric and a light pink with cupcakes for some dresses

i had three different buttons for her to choose from, well, she wanted them all on her dress

since it goes straight down, i'm thinking 'bout adding ties or elastic to sinch the sides.
baby raider's quilt for a cousin in the midwest, and yes, i added 49er's fabric on the side
frog foot baby boy quilt

and a blue puppy lunch bag...zebra, cow, shark...soo many more ideas
reversable book bag and a crayon roll for a 6 year-old birthday girl.

and some more shparkles!

and because the brown dino is a boy dino, she needed a girl dino...and it's a girl 'cus it has lashes....

a sweater for my 1 year-old cousin . it's charlie's cardi from lionbrand.com

and the snake was watching from watching my son play with a stuffed snake...it's made from halloween fabric and swimwear...it's pretty hilarous feeding shtanley the snake cars, barbies and bacon.

and because the ol man doenst think i do enough...he took the butterfly dino to work and a co-worker requested a green one, lashes, but 2 fingers...

and since we're on sparkle kick...the pink cat is the hurricane's new lunch bag...shparkles, lashes, and a shiny fish (which holds her gummy snacks)
the cow was done by a friend for one of her kids....haha looooove it

shparkles!

so while looking for fabric to make a new maternity shirt, the hurricane stated that she wanted that fabric for her own shirt...

really? the black fabric w/ "blood" and hearts and the other stuff?
well, i guess since it has sparkles it was cool....and roses...and hearts w/ wings...hm...

so i copied a dress we had and modified it to a "pull-over" shirt. i think it would've looked cute as a button shirt too.

i cut a 1" bias, folded it so that raw edges met in the middle and sewed it on. my first time doing the bias
and because the hurricane loves hearts and everything and anything related to valentine's day *rolls eyes and groans* i used the heart stitch instead of serging and for the bottom hem.

seeing green

it just so happens that the 2 teams i am rooting for are green...i love green...go packers! j-e-t-s! jets! jets! jets!

and so does my friend's five-year old...at his brother's party, he asked me if he could have a car-eating dino...haha, i dont remember the convo, but any excuse to try something new, i'm there.

and so  now, we have "larry"

larry's made of halloween fabric, the flimsy "satiny" feel...so to make it a lot easier to work with, i ironed fusible inerfacing to it.

haha, he cracks me up!

i'm going to try and make a "man-eating" cow! bwahaha....

and we can breathe again...

my favorite day has to be dec 26th..the pressure is lifted off and i'm light as a feather...

and feeling light as a feather, i havn't really sewn, knitted or done anything crafty :S

while on my mini-vacation, i did finish up another oogie boogie and knitted up a cindyLou hat
awesome hat...another one is going to be made for the younger one..hahaha

and while i'm floating around...i realized that the challenge quilt for the guild is due next thursday, a saturday sampler block that following saturday....and getting back to the many projects that need to get done...

"I might just split a seam now

lf I don't die laughing first"

and here is mr. oogie boogie man...

from one of my favorite holiday movies...here's a gift for a cousin.

ther'es a six" zipper and before i had stuffed it, a coloring book fit perfect in the pocket...but after, it's kinda hard...hahaha...i'm excited that i had enough bug fabric for the inside...his mouth is also a pocket for the crayons.

for the next one, i'll probably change the mouth pocket so it's longer (that way the crayons hide better), use a longer zipper for the coloring book (that way it's easier to get an 8"x10" coloring book out), and either find some more bug fabric or use some kind of "gambeling" fabric for it..

oh..i should try to see if it glows in the black light...

oh look....

it's december. so....23 more days?

hmph...

got a phone call for another tunsian stocking....yeah shure, i can do it...like i said last year, i've got nothing to do *bigger cackle*

so let's see...
-a pair of hooter pants for the hurricane. made it so she had something special to wear when the owl and bat visted her classroom
-beetlejuice out of halloween pantyhoes...hahaha..."sandworms. yeah, i hate 'em too"
-customized a snuggie for the ol man's friend...he's a "seahawk" fan...haha...hence the sea chicken
-made another telemark sweater, socks and a zaggity hat.
-another mini robot to sell on etsy
-a mini seam reaper for the profile pic of the shop

and inbetween all that..i've made some matching hats out of the yarn from my sweater, socks for my mom (which aren't the same blasted size!!! ARRRGHHH) and a orange/verigated orange/red hat for a moniter...

on my "gotta finish" list, there are 2 baby quilts and 1 pillowcase/quilt in the making, another sweater, and some socks....
